Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a Genitourinary subspecialty interest to strengthen and develop the uro-radiology service at Whipps Cross University Hospital. You will deliver high-quality imaging and urointervention, working with surgical teams on urology pathways and PCNL procedures.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent.
• FRCR or equivalent.
• CCT (or within 6 months of interview) or on specialist register.
• Evidence of extensive experience in diagnostic radiology as well as Uroradiology IR procedures.
• Participation in relevant regional MDTs & meetings.
• Training in relevant subspecialty for the post, e.g. a formal IR fellowship.
• A 2nd subspeciality, such as neurology or cardiac radiology.
• Radiation Protection experience.
• Audit experience and QI projects.
• First author publications in refereed journals.

The advertised post is for a full-time Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Genitourinary (GU) Radiology. This is a new post developed to support the expanding urology service at Whipps Cross Hospital, which serves as the urology hub for Barts Health NHS Trust. The post holder will support increasing demand in uro‑oncology and complex urology pathways, working closely with surgical teams undertaking specialist procedures including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and partial orchidectomy. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of a high‑quality uro‑radiology service. Full support will be provided to develop subspecialty expertise and procedural skills. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our existing radiology team. The post will be entirely based at Whipps Cross University Hospital, although collaborative working across the Trust will be supported.
