Job Opportunity: Consultant Psychiatrist - Older Age Psychiatry

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Older Age Psychiatry service.

Location

The wards, Rowan and Cedar, are located at Parklands House, Royal Oldham Hospital.

Responsibilities
  1. Providing high-quality mental health care for older adults with severe and enduring mental health issues, both inpatient and outpatient.
  2. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and consultants to ensure coherent and excellent mental health services within the Oldham area.
  3. Supporting early diagnosis of dementia and offering advice and support to patients and their families.
  4. Managing a range of mental health conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, delirium, and severe anxiety.
  5. Ensuring safe and effective treatment through close cooperation with community services, facilitating smooth transitions between hospital and community care.
