A UK charity is looking for a Lead Consultant in Neuropsychiatry to provide psychiatric leadership within hospitals. MAIN PURPOSE:
To lead and develop specialist psychiatry provision within Brainkinds Hospitals. To operate within a recovery model where people learn new strategies and coping mechanisms with the lifelong effects of acquired brain injury and other associated conditions. The service, like other Brainkind services, operates holistically as opposed to a purely medical /clinical model.
The Consultant doctor in psychiatry will take the lead role during the stage of stabilisation where poly medications, unstable presentations, fragmented social networks of support need to be, rationalised to be more manageable and helpful for the person. They will take the lead/strategic role within the multi/interdisciplinary team providing psychiatry input within the Brainkind neurobehavioral model to people with acquired brain injury.
To act as a positive professional role model, and to pro-actively support the clinical leadership team to achieve Brainkind Objectives.
