We are seeking to recruit Consultant Psychiatrists to work in the newly transformed Integrated CMHTs across the city. Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of specialist mental health and learning disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist services across York, the Yorkshire and Humber region, and some highly specialised national services.
The community service has been redesigned following the NHS Long Term Plan to address care gaps and ensure access to high-quality, flexible mental health care, including assessment, intervention, stepped care, and community integration.
The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical reviews, guidance, and leadership, including responsibilities under the MHA 1983, complex prescribing, and risk management. The post emphasizes trauma-informed care and collaboration with local services.
