Consultant Psychiatrist with Responsible Clinician Responsibilities

About Eleanor:

Eleanor Hospital, located near Didsbury Village and Withington, is a modern healthcare facility dedicated to female adults under 65 with personality disorders. We provide tailored care through a comprehensive pathway approach, featuring amenities like a cinema, Equipod, café, and virtual reality fitness centre, all aimed at empowering patient rehabilitation. We strive to make healthcare a dynamic and engaging experience, leading in mental health rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert clinical care and consultation for patients with personality disorders, with or without comorbidities.
  2. Undertake Responsible Clinician duties as defined under the Mental Health Act.
  3. Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and develop individualised care plans.
  4. Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
  6. Participate in teaching and training for junior staff.
  7. Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  9. Participate in the on-call rota.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Medical degree and GMC registration.
  2. CCT in Psychiatry or equivalent.
  3. Approved Clinician status and eligibility for Responsible Clinician role.
  4. Experience in assessing and treating psychiatric disorders.
  5. Leadership and teamwork skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Commitment to professional development.
