Overview

We are seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the Tower Hamlets CAMHS. This is an 8 PA substantive position within the Emotional and Behavioural team at Greatorex Street Community CAMHS, serving young people up to 18 years, along with their families and carers. The post involves a joint Clinical Team Leader role within a well-established leadership structure.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCPsych parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT in appropriate specialty (or within 6 months)
  • Section 12 approved and Approved Clinician status or willingness to apply
Desirable Qualifications
  • Higher academic degree
  • Specialist training in psychotherapeutic modalities such as Family Therapy, CBT, or psychotherapy
Experience & Skills
  • Extensive clinical knowledge and skills
  • Experience with assessment and management of CYP with complex mental health disorders
Additional Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and high standards
Teaching & Management
  • Experience in teaching and a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education
  • Enthusiastic approach to audit, quality assurance, and service development
