Job overview
As a Consultant Psychiatrist within our team, you will be at the forefront of providing essential mental health and learning disability services to a diverse population of 1.8 million people in Kent and Medway. Main duties of the job
This is a 10 PA plus 0.5 PA role, with a 3% Category A availability supplement for on-call duties. Part-time or job-share applications are welcome.

Successful applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent, be on, or within six months of, the Specialist Register, and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as hold Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.

Person specification

Training, Qualifications, and Registration

  • MB BS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
  • Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months

Desirable criteria include:

  • Higher degree in medical education, research, or management
  • MRCPsych
  • Additional clinical qualifications
  • Good standing with GMC regarding warnings or conditions on practice

Transport

  • Valid UK driving license or evidence of alternative arrangements
