As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will join the Thanet Community Mental Health Team, which has a dedicated Duty team, assessment, and CAPA assessment team. The team receives robust medical support to ensure medical leadership.
This is a great opportunity to develop the team's functioning. The service covers the eastern area of the town, an area facing social deprivation with significant drug and alcohol-related issues. You will not be responsible for inpatients.
You will collaborate with other specialties such as the Mother and Infant Mental Health team and Neuropsychiatry.
Candidates should ideally have MRCPsych or equivalent, be on the Specialist Register, fully GMC registered, with Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or achieve within 3 months).
