Job Summary

We are recruiting a Consultant for Orion Ward at our new Mental Health Inpatient Service, responsible for clinical input, leadership, and working with a multidisciplinary team in line with New Ways of Working.

The team will support the Consultant Psychiatrist with triaging referrals, initial assessments, liaising with other professionals, and service improvement activities.

  • Salary: NHS Consultant Grade £105,504 - £139,882 + £149 fringe, + on-call payments

Person Specification:

Qualifications include MB BS or equivalent, GMC registration, and approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act. Desirable qualifications include higher degrees, MRCPsych, and management skills. Essential skills involve clinical knowledge, communication, risk management, and multidisciplinary teamwork. Desirable skills include teaching, research, and leadership experience.

Additional Requirements:

Compliance with DBS checks, UK registration, and sponsorship regulations. Applicants must have current UK professional registration and meet immigration requirements.
