Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist – Learning Disabilities & Autism – Liverpool
Salary: £99,532 – £131,964 per annum (NHS Consultant Pay Scale)
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work within a specialist Learning Disabilities (LD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) service, providing psychiatric care for adults with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders in individuals with learning disabilities and autism. You will provide behavioral management plans and oversee sensory-based interventions. Working alongside clinical psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, you will train and support carers, families, and community support teams. Additionally, you will conduct capacity assessments and provide medico-legal reports.

Requirements:

  • GMC registration with a CCT in Learning Disability Psychiatry.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary and social care environments.
