Consultant Psychiatrist: Intensive Outreach & EIP Lead

Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership for the Intensive Outreach pathway and supervise the Hounslow EIP multidisciplinary team. The post covers IO and EIP services, with senior assessments, diagnostics, and care planning for complex cases.

The role requires GMC registration, MRCPsych, and a track record in liaison with primary care networks. The post offers full-time hours across multiple pathways and travel across Hounslow sites.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MRCPsych or equivalent.
• Clinical research or management qualification desired.
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• On GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months).
• Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months.
• Section 12 approval or able to achieve within 3 months.
• Good standing with the GMC (no warnings).

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for the Intensive Outreach pathway.
• Undertake senior assessment and direct clinical input for complex IO cases.
• Risk and medication management, diagnostic assessment, and CTO reviews.
• Support urgent concerns and assessments.
• Provide consultant input to the Hounslow EIP MDT and lead on complex EIP cases.
• Ensure smooth transitions into/out of EIP, IO, and CRS pathways; liaise with GPs/Primary Care Networks.
