We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Mental Health nurse to work full-time in the Peterborough South Adult Locality Team for one year.

The practitioner will provide specialist advice, assess, plan, and implement care to a designated caseload, always promoting the safety and wellbeing of service users and their families/carers.

Main duties of the job

  • Work alongside the service user to develop their care plan based on recovery principles.
  • Offer specialist assessment and advice as required.
  • Assess, manage, and regularly review ongoing risks identified during assessments, in collaboration with the service user and carers.
  • Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based and aligned with NICE guidelines and Trust policies.
  • Provide supervision to junior staff and trainees where appropriate (mentorship and preceptorship qualifications).
  • Act within the relevant Code of Conduct depending on your Registration Body.
