This is a new post for an adult for a consultant psychiatrist to provide medical input into the East Adult community Treatment located in Cumbria. Post holders will work along with multidisciplinary teams covering the adult population in North-Cumbria. The post holder will provide senior clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex mental health problems and what are termed as at-risk mental states.
As an added bonus, the Trust is located in the Northeast of England and Cumbria which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, containing national parks, ancient heritage sites and major cities supported by excellent national and international transport links. The area is predominantly rural and contains the Lake District National Park which is considered one of England's finest areas of natural beauty.

This is a 10 PA substantive Consultant post providing senior clinical and leadership input in the East and West Adult Community Treatment Team. Post holder would be expected to work alongside other experienced consultants, nurses and other members of the MDT covering the working adult age population in North Cumbria. The post-holder is expected to:
Participating in the engagement, assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients referred to the CTT.
Be committed to delivering excellence in clinical care,
Work effectively with the multidisciplinary community team and in-patient teams.
Promote the safety and well-being of the patients we serve.
To respect the rights and the dignity of patients.
To consider the individual and cultural needs of patients and

As a Consultant Psychiatrist working in the Adult Community Treatment Team in Cumbria, you will have responsibility for the provision of safe and effective care and treatment which is evidence based. You will share the vision of integrated and multi-disciplinary working and actively engage in the development of the service through research and support.
The post holder would be expected to be included on the specialist register (or eligible within 6months) and Approved Clinician Status or able to achieve this within 3months of appointment).
