Job description

Are you an outstanding Medical Director or ambitious Consultant Psychiatrist looking for new challenges, career development and a competitive salary?

We have an excellent full-time opportunity at our brand new hospital, Cygnet Kenney House. This role is due to start in April 2025.

Kenney House is going to be a 40-bedded unit in Oldham, primarily opening 2 of the 3 wards - the PICU and the Acute services; the 3rd will open later - Rehab Services. All 3 wards will be for adult females. The service is being designed in line with the Standards of excellence set out by the Royal College of Psychiatry, and we will be striving for accreditation through their review process.

In this role, you'll combine clinical expertise with sound strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the very best care.

You will also be the Consultant Psychiatrist on Billington Ward, our Female PICU Ward, which will support up to 13 inpatients.

• Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification
• An accomplished leader & clinician with strong line management & communication skills
• Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance
• Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation & case management

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
