Consultant Psychiatrist - Female Personality Disorders

We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to work at Cygnet Hospital Beckton, providing senior medical care to 15 inpatients on Upping Ward, our Intensive Support Service for women with personality disorders and complex mental health needs.

The post holder will serve as the Responsible Clinician, overseeing and maintaining inpatient care, auditing medical services, and ensuring compliance with GMC standards and other professional guidelines.

Your expertise will drive life-changing treatment, supported by a Specialty Doctor and a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists.

There are opportunities for career progression to Medical Director through our management schemes.

Main duties of the job

Cygnet Hospital Beckton features four specialist wards, including PICU, acute admissions, and personality disorder services. We accept both emergency and planned admissions, aiming to support recovery and community reintegration through a broad range of therapies.

The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician, responsible for patient treatment plans and liaising with the multidisciplinary team, acting as a positive role model.
