Job summary

Priory Hospital Preston is offering a part‑time clinical leadership role with responsibility for patient care across four wards. You will lead multidisciplinary rounds, risk assessments, and therapeutic planning, while acting as the Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act (1983).

Applicants must hold MRCPsych (or equivalent), a CCT and GMC Specialist Register, plus Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.

Qualifications

• CCT (or equivalent) and Section 12(2) approval.
• Approved Clinician status and ongoing CPD.

Priory Hospital Preston, Bartle, near Preston is a mental health hospital offering services for adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders across four wards. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes and Preston railway station nearby. The M55 motorway is also easily accessible.
Pro Rata salary for this role is £108,528

What you'll bring to the role

Applicants must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (or equivalent) and be included on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status. They must demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the speciality, the ability to work within and lead a team, and a commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement.
