Job summary

Priory Hospital Roehampton invites applications for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS ward. The role is based at Priory Hospital Roehampton with responsibilities across ward rounds, governance, and service development.

Applicants should hold MRCPsych with GMC Specialist Register, possess CCT or equivalent, and be approved Clinician status. The post includes leadership duties, CPD, and participation in on-call rotas across sites.

Qualifications

• Evidence of ongoing CPD and revalidation; ability to lead and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Take clinical responsibility for patients, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and treatment planning.
• Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Lead psychiatric assessments, support admissions, and provide specialist input to the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to clinical governance, service development, and strategic planning to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, contribute to training programmes, and maintain CPD and revalidation requirements.
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide cover across satellite sites when required.

Priory Hospital Roehampton has an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team on the CAMHS ward.

Location

Priory Hospital Roehampton. Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1-2 miles from the service.

Compensation

£180,000 per annum

Full-time 37.5 hours

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring to the role
