Overview

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a new opportunity within Adult Autism Diagnostic and Intervention and ADHD Diagnostic services in Buckinghamshire? This is a county-wide service currently based at Whiteleaf Centre, Aylesbury. You will carry no responsibility for inpatients. Owing to different funding streams and mental health needs of the service users, the service consists of two teams, with some clinicians working across both teams. There will be flexibility for suitable candidates who would want to work additional sessions in CAMHS/ General adult/ Older Adult service. There are also close links with Oxford University which include a term-time weekly academic meeting, regular research meetings, research opportunities, journal clubs and audit meetings. You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training. There are extensive opportunities for teaching and training of medical students, postgraduate doctors, members of the multidisciplinary team and other service providers, and for appraising and mentoring consultant colleagues. There are also close links with Oxford University which include a term-time weekly academic meeting, regular research meetings, research opportunities, journal clubs and audit meetings. The Trust hosts or collaborates with a wide range of research infrastructure. The Trust welcomes applications from appropriately qualified clinicians who would like to work with the Biomedical Research Centre, CLAHRC or NIHR Clinical Research Network as part of their agreed job plan. Trust has recently set up a Centre for Patient Safety and Quality. There will be opportunities for medical input into this Centre.

There is a recruitment incentive as part of the package: + £15,000 recruitment bonus + Relocation allowance of up to £8,000.
