Our addiction services cater to over 12,000 clients, from community teams to specialist inpatient care, including liaison services for general psychiatry and a Recovery Oriented System of Care. Our multidisciplinary team includes professionals in medicine, nursing, social care, psychology, occupational therapy, dietetics, and pharmacy. The Renfrewshire service also collaborates with third sector providers to deliver recovery-oriented care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic specialist to join our clinical team based in Back Sneddon Street, Paisley, serving the Renfrewshire HSCP catchment area. You will participate in all aspects of patient care, lead multidisciplinary meetings, and provide consultant expertise. The service primarily handles referrals for opiate and alcohol dependency.
Applicants must have full GMC registration, MRCPsych or FRCPsych, or equivalent, along with a CCST. Eligibility for approval under the Scottish Mental Health Act as an AMP is required.
This role offers the chance to work in an innovative clinical service for clients with high morbidity related to alcohol, drugs, and mental health issues. You will also have opportunities to contribute to developing our recovery system, participate in research projects, and engage in teaching initiatives.
UK-trained candidates should demonstrate higher specialist training leading to CCST, eligibility for specialist registration (CESR), or be within six months of confirmed entry post-interview.
