We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Core Adult Team based at Washwood Heath Centre Hub for our East community mental health team.
You will have a central role within an MDT context in providing medical leadership, delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of children, adolescents and their families with variable degree of complexity associated with attachment difficulties, mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as contribute to providing psychiatric & medical risk management in the community.
On a day-to-day basis, as Consultant psychiatrist, you will be part of the Children's and Young People Mental Health Service. You will have a close working relationship on clinical matters with multidisciplinary teams and provide important liaison with other doctors in primary and secondary care.
You will offer specialist consultation and peer supervision to Senior Mental Health Practitioners within the clinical team including the supervision of resident doctors.
The successful candidate will be considered for Quality Improvement Lead status for the Washwood Heath hub and shall be supported by the Service and Clinical Team Managers, as well as other Washwood Heath hub leads, in promoting and overseeing quality improvement activities within the MDT.
