This is a 10PAs position
The post is within a well-established acute psychiatric unit spread over two acute gender specific wards. The appointed consultant would be offering clinical leadership and taking on the role as Responsible Clinician (RC) for patients. The consultant would be working with colleagues who take on similar role for the Stepney and Wapping area (and NMHT) and the Tower Hamlets Early Intervention for Psychosis Services (THEIS). These 3 services share the 2 acute inpatient wards; each ward has a capacity of 19 beds: Roman Ward for females and Lea Ward for males.
The current model separating clinical responsibilities for the community and inpatients was only adopted relatively recently during the pandemic.
