Job Description:

Main duties of the job:

  1. Manage, appraise, and supervise junior medical staff in accordance with the Trust’s policies and procedures, including assessing competencies under the Modernising Medical Careers framework.
  2. Ensure junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and comply with the Working Time Directive.
  3. Undertake administrative duties related to patient care.
  4. Record clinical activity accurately and submit reports promptly to the Information Department.
  5. Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and the wider mental health service.
  6. Participate in annual appraisals for consultants.
