Job overview: We are seeking an Addictions Consultant Psychiatrist to work 10 PAs at Forward Leeds alongside a junior doctor and a full-time Specialty Doctor. Forward Leeds is a consortium of four organizations, including LYPFT, BARCA, St Anne’s, and Humankind, with Humankind as the lead provider. The service operates across three sites: Armley Park Court, Kirkgate, and Irford House. The team assesses, treats, and provides aftercare for individuals with substance misuse and complex needs, offering specialized services such as Dual Diagnosis, Pregnancy and Parenting, Psychosocial Interventions, Hospital In-Reach, a non-medical prescriber team, and Outreach services.
Main duties of the job: Provide high-quality patient care, contribute to service development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with substance use issues, ensuring effective communication with partners, and participating in clinical governance, training, and education activities.

Qualifications: MBChB, MRCPsych, endorsement in addictions (desirable), CCT in GA psychiatry.
