Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work within a long-established, specialist mental health hospital providing care to both men and women across various levels of secure services. This is a dynamic, multi-ward setting including medium secure, acute, and DBT-focused wards.
Salary: Around £160,000 FTE + £5000 car allowance
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist
Hours: Part Time
Location: Milton Keynes
Your key responsibilities will be;
• Oversee patient treatment plans and lead MDT collaboration
• Manage a varied caseload across multiple secure wards
• Assess referrals and determine admission suitability
• Chair and contribute to CPA and ward reviews
• Guide risk assessment and clinical decision-making
• Lead junior doctor supervision and appraisal
• Participate in clinical governance and senior on-call rota
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
• Full GMC registration with Specialist Registration
• MRCPsych or international equivalent
• Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status
• Experience in secure or forensic psychiatry settings
• Strong leadership within multi-disciplinary teams
