Overview

Consultant Psychiatrist - Permanent or Locum

Location: York

Salary: £109,179 - £125,637 - Pro Rata (DOE)

Hours: 21 Hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of specialist rehabilitation services to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist. This role will lead psychiatry provision within a multi-disciplinary neurorehabilitation setting, supporting individuals with acquired brain injury and associated conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership within a recovery-focused, bio-psycho-social model.
  • Act as Responsible Clinician for detained patients and oversee psychiatric input for the service.
  • Work closely with a specialist team to ensure safe, evidence-based, person-centred care.
  • Liaise with families, external professionals and partner agencies to ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Support, supervise and provide consultancy to medical colleagues within the service.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • GMC registration with licence to practise.
  • MRCPsych (or equivalent).
  • Section 12 & Approved Clinician status.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to collaborative leadership and service improvement.
