Job summary

Pulse Psychiatry in the North West of England is recruiting an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist for a specialist private inpatient service.

This permanent, site-based role requires MRCPsych, CCT, GMC Specialist Register and Section 12 approval, with leadership and MDT skills. The salary is £180,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent is required.
• CCT or equivalent is required.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register is required.
• Section 12 approval is required.
• Approved Clinician status is required.
• Experience working within inpatient mental health services is required.
• Strong clinical leadership, communication and MDT working skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Acting as Consultant Psychiatrist and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
• Leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews and treatment planning
• Contributing to pre-admission assessments and decisions around suitability for admission
• Providing psychiatric input into assessment, formulation and ongoing treatment
• Working closely with the wider MDT to deliver holistic, person-centred care
• Supporting clinical governance, service improvement and quality initiatives
• Providing leadership and clinical oversight across the ward
• Contributing to ongoing professional development and collaborative working

Pulse Psychiatry is currently recruiting for an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist private inpatient mental health service in North West England.

This is a permanent, site-based opportunity for a Consultant who is comfortable working within an inpatient CAMHS setting and taking responsibility for the clinical care, risk management and treatment of young people.

The Role

As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will take clinical responsibility for patients admitted to the CAMHS service and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.

Your responsibilities will include:
