Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited seeks a psychiatrist to provide RC and consultant input to inpatients, with leadership of the clinical team and involvement in service development. A low-frequency on-call rota is expected, and collaboration with community teams and commissioning bodies will be important for maintaining service quality.

The role emphasizes MDT work, innovation, and a strong team ethos, with access to professional development and a supportive supervisor.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy
• Full GMC registration and to have had an appraisal within the 12 months.
• Section 12 (2) approval and AC status
• Experience of working within an MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs
• Be innovative, motivated, and passionate
• Have a good team ethos

Specialty doctor cover is available for the acute ward. You will have access to excellent CPD, and the support of a large peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre consultants from varied sub-specialties.

Requirements

• To hold, MRCPsych or equivalent CCT in general adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychiatry of LD or medical psychotherapy, is preferred.
• We will consider experienced candidates who are not on the specialist register but have AC status.
• Full GMC registration and to have had an appraisal within the 12 months.
• Section 12 (2) approval and AC status
• Experience of working within an MDT in providing care for patients with complex needs
• To be innovative, motivated, and passionate
• To have a good team ethos
