We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our permanent team full time. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping patient care and contributing to the ongoing success of our service.


The heart of this job is providing high quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital. Working closely within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme.
• Taking clinical responsibility for your patients, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessment and management, Responsible Clinician duties, including Mental Health Act report writing and Tribunal attendance.
• The development of a therapeutic milieu.
• Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population.
• Lead and manage patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.
• Engaging with referring Trusts and community teams proactively.
• Facilitating families’ involvement in the care of their loved ones using technology and your excellent interpersonal skills
• Engage in clinical governance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in out of hours on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders and maintain a network of professional contacts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.
