We are seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join our IDT Adult Community Pathway Team. This is a replacement post that will work across both Primary and Secondary Care. To provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise for the Central IDT, East Suffolk, working collaboratively with colleagues in the community team, the wards, crisis and liaison services for adults to provide a seamless pathway.
Applications are invited for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work within our Older Adult Services Community Pathway based at Haymills House, Stowmarket.
The post holder is appointed as a senior professional in order to provide advanced professional expertise and clinical leadership. As such, the post holder is expected at all times to conduct him/herself in such a manner as to be demonstrably helping the Trust to deliver its strategic and business objectives, and to act as an ambassador at the interface with external partners and stakeholders. At no time must the post holder bring the Trust into disrepute.
Additionally, the post-holder, as is expected from the holder of a senior public position, must at all times comply fully with the Nolan Principles and the Standards of Business Conduct.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
