A large health board in Wales is seeking a Psychologist to lead its neuropsychology service and manage clinical staff. The successful candidate will provide specialist assessments and consultations within stroke services and participate in service evaluations. Suitable candidates should hold a degree in Psychology, a clinical qualification, and relevant experience in neuropsychology. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the neuropsychology service, including neurorehabilitation, for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) and to undertake clinical work in stroke services. We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified psychologist with considerable experience of working in neuropsychology settings, who is enthusiastic about the speciality and committed to developing the service for the whole health board. The role is varied and the post holder will be the service lead for neuropsychology with responsibility for patients with stroke and neurological conditions.

The successful applicant will join the developing CTMUHB Health Psychology Service and be directly managed by the head of service. The current psychology establishment includes posts in cancer/palliative care, cardiac rehabilitation, critical care, paediatrics, weight management and employee well-being, with pending developments in additional specialities. There are strong networks with South Wales clinical psychology and neuropsychology services, with opportunities for CPD and peer support.
