NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde seeks a locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a focus on Adult and Paediatric Hand Surgery. The position involves outpatient clinics and surgical responsibilities at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. An exciting opportunity exists for a locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in Adult and Paediatric Hand Surgery to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Plastic Surgery Unit. The unit has 23 Consultants and offers a wide range of plastic and reconstructive services, excluding craniofacial surgery, with a significant workload in general plastic surgery. The unit is internationally recognized and hosts annual teaching courses.
The successful candidate will have a main sub-specialist interest in hand surgery, based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). The role includes outpatient clinics, theatre sessions related to hand surgery, skin cancer surgery/reconstruction, and on-call duties. Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practice, and be eligible for the GMC Specialist Register. UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for CESR, or be within 6 months of confirmed entry. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
