Job summary

The Mountbatten Department of Plastic Surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital is seeking a Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join our established service in Portsmouth. We welcome a substantive appointment with the possibility of an initial short-term locum arrangement and subsequent substantive appointment by mutual agreement.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Experience in breast reconstruction and hand surgery.
• Knowledge of breast reconstruction and microsurgical techniques.
• Commitment to education, training and audit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality elective and acute Plastic Surgery care.
• Participate in on-call rota and MDT activities.
• Contribute to service development and clinical governance.
• Support education and development of trainees and colleagues.
• Engage in audit, quality improvement and innovation.
