A healthcare institution in Plymouth is seeking a qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an interest in sarcoma and lower limb reconstruction. Responsibilities include providing surgical care and supporting the training of medical professionals. The role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, and job share options.
This post is for a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an interest in sarcoma and lower limb reconstruction surgery. He/She/They will be responsible for the delivery and development of high-quality Plastic Surgical care including their area of expertise, which must encompass head and neck and lower limb reconstruction. The post holder will also be expected to participate in the normal duties relating to the administration of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. These duties will include teaching, continuing medical education and audit/clinical governance.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Service Line Director and the Medical Director of the Trust and will be expected to maintain and improve Patients' Charter standards where appropriate.
The post holder is required to work flexibly to ensure that service requirements are provided and to ensure that both the Service aims and objectives are met.
The job plan will be a 10 PA contract which will include dedicated SPA time. There is potential for the post to increase to 12 PAs with optional DCC sessions. This will cover elective care including clinics and operating and plastic surgery trauma on call cover.
