Applications are invited for a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust.

The appointment is for a full-time Consultant Physician within Respiratory Medicine and GIM.

Main duties of the job

The post involves inpatient ward cover and outpatient work, including lung cancer clinics, MDT, pleural lists, and general respiratory clinics. EBUS may or may not be included depending on the applicant.

Successful candidates should have obtained CCT in Respiratory and General (Internal) medicine or be within 6 months of completion at the time of appointment. The department offers comprehensive respiratory services, including interventional bronchoscopy, non-invasive ventilation, sleep diagnostics & therapeutics, lung cancer, airway, and TB services. There are significant teaching and research opportunities for both consultants and junior trainees.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications (Essential)

• Full GMC Registration and MRCP
• On specialist register or within 6 months of CCT in Respiratory Medicine
• Accredited in General Medicine
• MBBS or equivalent
• Understanding of Good Medical Practice principles
