Job Description:

We are seeking a Consultant Physician in Acute/General Medicine with optional Medical Speciality to join NHS Shetland, the most northerly health service in Scotland. The role involves providing comprehensive care for acutely unwell adults and children, working closely with a multidisciplinary team in a unique island setting.

Position details include:

1. Full-time or part-time contracts (30 weeks per annum)
2. Salary range: £96,963 - £128,841 per annum (pro rata)
3. Additional benefits: 8% On-Call supplement, Distant Island Allowance (£2,256/year), and relocation assistance up to £8,000

The role offers a broad generalist practice, with opportunities for collaboration with colleagues locally and from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. NHS Shetland is open to discussing paediatric care responsibilities and relevant training for interested applicants.

Part-time roles involve working up to 17 weeks per year on a rota, with additional time allocated for professional development, research, or other interests. The full-time role involves a 24/7 rota with a 1:4 on-call commitment.
