Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for a 12-month fixed-term consultant post in Rheumatology and General Medicine. The successful candidate will provide a full range of services across inpatient and outpatient settings with teaching, quality improvement and research opportunities.

Applicants must hold GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register or nearing eligibility, and demonstrate ability to contribute to a busy teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Must hold full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Be on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of entry at interview date.
• Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT if trained in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consultant services across inpatient and outpatient care.
• Participate in acute medical receiving and consultant on-call rota.
• Contribute to ward cover at weekends and downstream services.
