Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Blackpool, Lancashire, invites applications for a Consultant Paediatrician with an interest in diabetes. The post is permanent, NHS-based, and set at 10 sessions per week within a busy, multidisciplinary paediatric service.

The role includes teaching, leadership development, and involvement in the CSSR programme. On-call duties are non-resident (1 in 6) with safeguarding duties in acute paediatrics.

Qualifications

• MB ChB or equivalent qualification required.
• MRCP or equivalent for consultant level.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register or eligible within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care to Neonates and Paediatrics.
• Participate in the Consultant of the Week rota (1 in 9) and 1 in 6 on-call rotation.
• Support diabetes care within the Diabetes Team and lead where appropriate.
