Job Description:

We invite applications for a Consultant Paediatrician in Community Paediatrics within Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, based in the Glasgow City area. Successful candidates will join multidisciplinary teams delivering neurodisability and neurodevelopmental services at dedicated child centres and in complex support needs schools. Experience in assessment and diagnosis of complex neurodisability, neurodevelopmental assessments including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and understanding of child protection issues are required. Opportunities for sub-specialty interests are available. The role includes SPA time, and the service offers an active CPD program. There are close links with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, but no general paediatric out-of-hours commitments. SCS includes Community Paediatrics and CAMHS, with co-location in most centres.
