Job summary

The Evelina London Children's Hospital within Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust seeks a substantive 10 PA consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability or Paediatric Neurology with an interest in motor disorders and co-morbidities. Salary from £113,565 to £150,569 per annum, full-time, 10 PAs.

The role supports movement, neuromuscular and rehabilitation services, including regional tone management and potential neurosurgical interventions such as ITB pumps and DBS neuromodulation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Eligible for full UK GMC/GDC registration and a License to Practice.
• MRCPCH by examination or equivalent.
• On GDC/GMC Specialist Register for Paediatric Neurodisability, Paediatrics or Paediatric Neurology (OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview).
• Valid BLS Training.
• Experience in tertiary UK movement therapy centre, offering interventions such as botulinum toxin injections or ITB/DBS.
• Experience in a saliva control service.
• Experience in a rehabilitation service.
• Valid APLS and NLS.

Responsibilities

• Support the Paediatric Neurology movement, neuromuscular and rehabilitation service.
• Participate in movement service MDTs and complex tone management.
• Contribute to delivery of advanced therapies for neuromuscular disorders and gene therapies.
