Job description

Job description Job responsibilities The appointee will participate fully in the clinical activities of the Department, providing general emergency ENT cover 1:8 during the week, each day being 14 hours from 6.00pm-8.00am, and 1:8 weekends, each day being 24 hours from 8.00am-8.00am on Saturday and Sunday. However, on rare occasions it is necessary for the on-call Consultant to provide on-site care at Darent Valley Hospital, within their ITU or A&E Departments, occasionally making use of their theatres. The appointee will have responsibility for all patients under his/her care, and will guide and help junior medical and non-medical staff in delivering this care. He/she will work within the close working relationship that characterizes this department, and support the philosophy of sub-specialisation whilst providing generalist expertise as well.
