We are currently recruiting for a Psychiatry Consultant to join a reputable healthcare team in Scotland on a 6 month locum contract.

Job Title: Consultant or SpR Psychiatrist – Addictions
Location: Scotland
Contract Type: Full-Time, Locum
Duration: 6 Months (ASAP Start)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant or experienced SpR Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in Addictions to join a forward-thinking service. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with substance misuse disorders

Conduct assessments, risk evaluations, and develop individual treatment plans

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and social workers

Support harm reduction, detoxification, and rehabilitation programs

Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with governance standards

Requirements:

Full GMC registration with a license to practise

CCT or significant experience in Addictions Psychiatry (SpR level considered)

Strong understanding of substance misuse treatment models

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Competitive locum rates

Assistance with travel and accommodation (if required)

Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment consultant

Start Date: ASAP
