CPL UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is seeking a Forensic Consultant or Specialty doctor with S12, NHS based in Portland and Salisbury, Dorset. The role offers negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to work part-time, covering in-reach clinics at three prisons, one day per week, with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and overseeing the mental health of patients in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing prisoners in house-blocks and Healthcare
  • Liaising with external services to arrange CPAs, aftercare, or hospital transfers
  • Managing psychiatric cases in the inpatient unit
  • Providing other care expected of a consultant in a prison in-reach role
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives with multidisciplinary teams
