A leading NHS healthcare partnership is seeking a dedicated General Ophthalmologist for a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will assume a direct clinical role, provide theatre cover, and participate in the consultant on-call rota while working alongside a team of experienced consultants. The successful candidate will assume a direct clinical role within the department, sharing all facilities equally with the existing consultants. This is a full-time permanent post (11 PAs) for a General Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Medical retinal diseases / Uveitis. The appointee will join 32 Consultant Ophthalmologists already in place. The role involves working 11 PAs per week, including an 8 DCC and 2 SPA split (flexible working may be considered), with additional activities to be discussed. The successful applicant is expected to participate actively in the consultant on-call rota.
