Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Consultant to join our Ophthalmology team, ideally with a subspecialist interest in glaucoma.

We ensure close collaboration among all consultants through regular fortnightly meetings and maintain a close working relationship with the service managers.

We work in a friendly team environment serving a diverse population in North West Norfolk.

We are open to appointing either a permanent or fixed-term NHS Locum Consultant to the right candidate.

Main Duties

Our department performs nearly 100 glaucoma surgical procedures annually, including the latest MIGS. We are equipped with SLT laser, Humphrey fields, OCT, and retinal/disc photography.

There will be opportunities to develop competencies in glaucoma interventional procedures and gain further experience, aligning with NICE guidelines and national targets.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • FRCOphth/FRCS or equivalent.
