The successful candidate will provide specialist oncology care across various treatment facilities within one of the largest trusts in the UK and work in an innovative and supportive environment.
University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust (UHB) is recruiting to a Consultant Oncologist, to join their dynamic team. The successful post holder will join an innovative team of Consultant Oncologists, each of the roles will deliver specialist Oncology care as per the job plans included below, for one of the largest trusts in the UK.
The successful candidate can expect to work within an innovative and supportive team, compromising of Consultant Oncologists, SpRs, Physician Associates, Speciality Doctors, Resident Doctors, CNS, Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Pharmacists, whilst being supported by dedicated administrative teams.
UHB's Oncology service delivers an extensive range of systemic anti-cancer treatments and radiotherapy treatments. Consultant-led clinics are delivered face to face and virtually, from dedicated Oncology/Haematology units at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (BHH), Good Hope Hospital (GHH) and Solihull Hospital (SHH). Bespoke Day Unit facilities support the delivery of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments from each hospital site. Inpatient Oncology care is delivered at all of UHB's sites, supported by the Acute Oncology Team (AOS) and Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) service. QEHB has two dedicated Oncology wards for elective inpatient treatment and emergency admissions. There is also an inpatient and day case Young Persons Unit (YPU).
