Please note that this role will support Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust Head and Neck Oncology in collaboration with New Cross Hospital.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Consultants and their associated team provide comprehensive services across 3 NHS Trusts which include New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, and Manor Hospital in Walsall. All major inpatient work is carried out at New Cross Hospital whereas the other two units carry out Outpatient and Day Case procedures. Please note that this role is also to support Shrewsbury and Telford Head and Neck Oncology in collaboration with New Cross Hospital.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is a recognised Cancer Centre providing comprehensive Head and Neck services (including major reconstruction with free flaps) under a specialised MDT and joint oncology clinics. These services are supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists, MacMillan Cancer Support, Speech & Language Therapists, Dieticians, Palliative and Hospice care, highly skilled Maxillofacial Prosthetics Team and in the process of appointing a Restorative Consultant.
The management of skin malignancy has become a big part of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery over the last 5 years. The service is currently provided as day-stay procedures within the department and specialist day –care unit.
