A healthcare trust in England is seeking a Consultant in Older Persons Medicine and Frailty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality clinical care, support discharge planning, and engage in educational activities. Candidates should have significant experience in medical specialties and be eligible for GMC registration. This role offers competitive remuneration and opportunities for professional development.
A new post has been created within the Medicine for Older People team at Wexham Park following a service reconfiguration. The successful candidate will work across the rehabilitation unit, discharge unit, and the acute frailty service, providing high-quality care to our patients.
We actively encouragespecial interests and offer opportunities for professional development. If dual-accredited, the post holder will also participate in the General Internal Medicine (GIM) on-call rota. Flexible working requests for less than 10 PAs will be considered.
We welcome applications from doctors with significant experience(12+ years) who do not currently hold CCT. Such candidates may be appointed as Specialist Grade on the relevant pay scale and supported to progress to Consultant level via the CESR (portfolio pathway).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work alongside our existing consultants to further develop services for older people and bring their own special interests to enhance our current offerings. For dual-accredited candidates, the General Medicine on-call rota is approximately 1:9 weekends, with a less frequent midweek commitment.
On-call duties attract a 1 PA supplement and one day TOIL for weekend work.
