Job description

CPL UK Healthcare (formally RIG Locums) are currently looking for an Old Age Consultant, NHS based in Glasgow, Scotland area.

The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time and it would be excellent for someone wanting to broaden their experience of community and develop their clinical skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The team is well established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic, patient centered and dynamic Older Adult Mental Health team based at Ward in the Hospital and CMHT Team which is part of the wider Glasgow family, the largest health board in Scotland. This offers many opportunities for quality improvement, teaching, training and research. This 10 session post covers a catchment of East Renfrewshire (the Barrhead corridor) which has approximately 4,000 population.

The successful applicant will play a key role in clinical leadership of the CMHT and inpatient wards which are based both at sites diagnosing and managing those with severe and enduring mental health conditions in older adult, including some young onset dementia patients, supported by consultant psychiatry colleagues and the wider MDT.
