Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Location: Gloucester NHS Trust

Start Date: ASAP | Contract Length: 3 Months (Temporary)

Accommodation Available

Full Shift Rota Including Nights and Oncalls

Pay Rates

  • Core Hours: £90 £95 per hour
  • Unsocial Hours: £110 £115 per hour

Are you a skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology seeking your next locum opportunity? Gloucester NHS Trust is currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate consultant to join their team on a 3-month temporary contract, starting immediately.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-regarded NHS trust offering a full rota and generous hourly rates, including enhanced pay for unsocial hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care in both obstetrics and gynaecology
  • Manage a full range of elective and emergency cases
  • Participate in a full shift rota, including nights and weekends
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
  • Contribute to teaching, supervision, and service development where required

Requirements:

  • GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent experience
  • Previous NHS experience in a consultant post
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently across both obstetrics and gynaecology disciplines
