A leading NHS Trust in Watford is seeking a Locum Consultant Neurologist to join their innovative team. The role involves delivering outpatient and inpatient care, supporting Neurology services, and collaborating with medical professionals across multiple sites. Candidates must have GMC registration and relevant qualifications, including MRCP (UK). Locum Consultant Neurologist to join the Neurology Team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join an innovative established team of Consultants, Specialist Registrars and Specialist Nurses providing outpatient and inpatient care.
The post-holder will work with colleagues to support and develop Neurology services for the local population and will be expected to work across our sites including St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead General Hospital.
Applicants must have full GMC registration. MRCP (UK) is desirable.
This post is for a fixed-term whole time equivalent substantive Consultant in Neurology based at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidates will be expected to work across our three sites, Watford General Hospital, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital and St Albans City Hospital. As we are lead provider for Diabetes within the Herts Valley area, the postholder may also need to carry out Diabetes clinics at one of our community sites across the area.
Duties include approximately 6 outpatient clinics per week; intermittent inpatient care for GIM patients, electronic triaging, and advice & guidance.

The successful applicant will work closely with other Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Nursing staff, Managers, Medical Secretaries, Admin and other staff across the hospital sites, to deliver clinical services, partake in clinical governance, support clinical leadership to enhance patient safety and experience.
Candidate will be required to have contact with patients, patients carers/relatives, and General Practitioners.
